Forschungs-U-Boot Deep Rover - das Original:<\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

The research submarine Deep Rover<\/a> DR1002 is a 2-man research submarine. It was developed by the company Deep Ocean Engineering<\/a> in the USA. The rovers became known through their use in various Hollywood films and through exploring the wreck of the Titanic.<\/p>\n

Depths of up to 1000 meters can be achieved with the Deep Rover. The sophisticated drive concept using four jet propellers make the Deep Rover extremely manoeuvrable. The two gripping arms (manipulators) make it possible to retrieve samples and other materials from the depths.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

Forschungs-U-Boot Deep Rover - das Modell:<\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

The model is a 1:8 scale kit. This kit can be ordered via Model-Submarine-Specialties<\/a> in Germany.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

The basis of the Deep Rover:<\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

My model was built over the years 2016-2017 from the kit, which provides a very good basis.<\/p>\n

In addition, miniature screws for detailing the windows and various other small parts can also be ordered at Model-Submarine-Specialties<\/a> as well.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/div>\n\n

The details of the Deep Rover:<\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

In order to give the model a special touch and to achieve an appearance that is as true to the original as possible, numerous other details are attached.<\/p>\n

The seats and armrests in the interior were provided with upholstery. Two pilotes<\/a> of the appropriate scale accompany the diving trips and breathe life into the model.<\/p>\n

The monitors on the ceiling and the other instruments in the interior are equipped with brass eached parts<\/a> and backlid.<\/p>\n

Lighting that corresponds to the original was installed all around. This consists of flashing position lights on the two antennas and spotlights to illuminate the scene.<\/p>\n

The hydraulic lines and valves on the manipulators were simulated using silicone tubing.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

- Fahrt vorw\u00e4rts\/r\u00fcckw\u00e4rts \u00fcber die waagerecht verbauten Motoren
- Fahrt links\/rechts \u00fcber die waagerecht verbauten Motoren (Drehen auf der Stelle m\u00f6glich)
- Sinken\/Steigen \u00fcber die senkrecht verbauten Motoren
- Seitlich traversieren \u00fcber die senkrecht verbauten Motoren
- Beleuchtung:
-- Im Innenraum sind die Instrumente mit LEDs hinterleuchtet
-- Am Rumpf blinken an den beiden Masten die Positionslampen
-- In den Kufen ist je ein Scheinwerfer zur Ausleuchtung angebracht
-- Am Tr\u00e4ger oberhalb der Kugel ist ebenfalls ein Scheinwerfer zur Ausleuchtung angebracht
-- Zus\u00e4tzliche, optionale Beleuchtung der Greifer an den Manipulatoren kann \u00fcber Halterungen an den Manipulatoren angebracht werden (befindet sich zurzeit noch im Bau)
